Be Inspired: Emma Borquaye

"When you are inspired you are empowered," says 23-year-old Emma as she articulates what it means to be empowered. Currently working in Radio advertising, Emma balances a new career with married life (she got married back in June), and encouraging the upcoming generation.

"I run a youth group with my husband Isaac at our church in Greenwich and I am passionate about seeing young people confidently living out their faith and encouraging one another," she says. Her and her husband Isaac (or Guvna B, the Mobo-award winning christian artist), are  deeply rooted in their church and make it their priority to drive the next generation into a place that is more and more hungry for God.

From talking to us about leaning her soul into Galations 2:19 on days of trouble, to her day-to-day life, get an insight into the inspiring life of Emma Borquaye.

What drives her to get up in the morning

"Sometimes I'm not very motivated to get up in the morning at all. I love my sleep! And my job isn't THE most exciting thing ever, but I remember one time someone praying for me about how, like in Zephaniah 3, where it says that God will "rejoice over you with singing," God sings songs of love over me in the morning. It's crazy to think that there are so many people in the world- most with much greater needs than me- yet God still cares about each one of us and has a plan and purpose. When I think about all this, how could I possibly not be motivated to get up!"

An average day for Emma

"My alarm goes off at 6am and I snooze it about about 4 or 5 times until it's almost 7! I leave my house at 7:50 and usually haven't had time to do my eye makeup so I'm one of those annoying people that does it on the train. I get to work for 8:50 and spend the day there planning up radio advertising and campaigns. I have some amazing friends at work which make the days much more fun. In my lunch breaks I like to do a bit of writing, either for my blog or something freelance. I finish work at 5:30 and I've tried to get into the habit of spending 30/45 mins with God as soon as I get home as the mornings tend to be quite a rush! I'll either see friends or hang out with Isaac, my husband. However, if I'm having a chilled evening in I love all the trashy TV shows like Towie, MIC, Real Housewives.. They're my guilty pleasures!"

Pleasing God, not people

"I think a lot of people tend to give the advice to 'not care what anyone thinks of you' and people would say that to me a lot growing up, too. It's definitely easier said than done. We seek approval in literally everything especially with stuff like Instagram and Facebook. We've been programmed that way since babies, because as girls we've had people us about the way we look from a really young age: "ooh look at your pretty dress," "I love your shoes," "what beautiful hair." So to just say 'don't care about what people think anymore' is actually extremely hard to do and if you decide one day to not care, it probably won't last very long. Instead, my advice would be not to just not care what anybody thinks of you, but care about what God thinks of you more! He thinks you are amaaaaaazing and living your life to please Him will shape you in to a way better person than living to please any human ever could!"

Describe the word empower

"That's a tough one- it's not something I think about often but I guess for me it is being inspired. You could be inspired by people you look up to, heroes of faith in the bible, or by God himself. God inspires us so that we might live effectively for Him on the earth. When you are inspired you are empowered."

The bible verse for tough days

"Galations 2:19: "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." It's a good reminder that if I'm facing a challenge I'm not alone, and if I have Christ in me what is there that I can't overcome?"

Be Inspired: Anna Seven London

Twins Joanna and Susanna, are fearlessly using their London-based clothing brand Anna Seven London to change culture and not conform to the ways of the world. Their journey first began in 2012, and they have since changed the game with their t-shirts, jumpers and accessories which have the ultimate goal to glorify Christ. What they began at the mere age of 17 has blossomed into an empowering brand which inspires our generation. Their 'Thou Shalt Change The Game' t-shirts quickly wooed over today's youth culture, and as their new collection drops, we talk to them about their ever-empowering brand, the fashion industry and what it means to trust God.

Behind the name

"Our names are Joanna and Susanna- so Anna- and our Mother's name is Anna too. The number seven means 'completion' and is the holiest number. As a christian brand, this was something we wanted to incorporate."

Twins that dress the same

"There was one point when we didn't dress alike, however we are twins, and God gave us the gift of looking alike, so we love dressing the same- it's so much fun. Plus we have the same style anyway so it makes dressing the same easy."

Feeling empowered in fashion

"To be honest, we've never had the mindset of being sexualised in what we wear. We always want to keep what we wear moderate, because our brand is really bringing awareness to God and His love for humanity. Of course we don't want to be too 'holy', but then we don't want to be too worldly either- it's about getting the balance right. We want people that are unchurched or not believers to feel excepted by the clothes and to be able to relate to them. We don't focus on what we can not do- we focus on what God tells us and allows us to do."

Advice on social media and staying grounded

"Honesty, if we didn't have our business we probably wouldn't have social media. You just get swept up in everyone else's lives and it's just sad. The thing with social media is that you think everyone is having a good day, living their dream, but it's never ever like that. People just pick and choose to show what they want. People have bad days too, but of course they never show them. With social media you need to realise that we all have bad days too- don't believe everything you see! Make sure that you know yourself and that you're strong enough to not feel inferior or bad about yourself because of what someone else put up."

The future of their brand

"Time will tell. We have plenty of goals and ambitions tucked away, so hopefully we can get the word of God out their more-  we hope to do that in a cool and quirky way. A fashion house is the dream for one day, we hope. We're still growing and figuring out what we want to do. We are constantly moving forward and trusting in God- he's got us."

Be Inspired: Charlie Blythe

Hillsong London's youth pastor and the A21 Campaign UK's Director, Charlie Blythe is the voice of this generation. Whether she's preaching, painting her cactus pots or setting out to abolish world slavery, she is inspiring many. Her vision for the youth is clear and unfiltered: her love for Jesus and the church drives every person with inspiration that she meets.

As we talk to her about what fuels her passion for the youth of the church, read her beautiful and witty words of wisdom and get to know the heart of who she is. We encourage you to head down to Hillsong London's main campuses to hear her preach from the depth of her soul- or join the A21 Campaign's Walk For Freedom this Saturday, as Charlie and thousands other boldly march to end human trafficking.

Her vision for the next generation

"I see a fearless generation. A generation that steps up and stands out for what they believe in. A generation that's secure in who they are in Christ. A generation that's more attractive than any other, not because of their outward appearance but their inward godliness. I envision a generation who's words are kind, who's heart are for others and who's hand is always helping. I believe the next generation are going to be stronger and bolder than ever because they have a confidence and a hope that's unshakable. They're going to use their God-given talents and skills to, not lift their own name but the name above all names! The next generation isn't concerned with what others think of them, what they look like or how popular they are- they're living for an audience of one. I pray and hope the next generation live more fearlessly than ever before."

What the word 'empower' means to her

"Empower to me means being confident in who you are, the authority you have been given and what you've been called to do. Once you have that revelation you can empower others to live the same way!"

When you walk through the storm

"Social media unfortunately can be our worst enemy at times. It allows us to compare ourselves and our lives with everyone else's and at times its not even a fair comparison as people are just posting their best bits. What we have to understand is that everyone goes through highs and lows- everyone has their own struggles and issues they battle with but we don't necessarily see those areas of their lives."

Don't compare!

"Don't allow yourself to play the comparison game. Comparison leads to jealousy and ultimately jealously leads to insecurity. God has made you exactly how you are for a reason and he has a plan and purpose for your life which is specific for you (Jeremiah 29 tells us that). We need to accept who we are in Christ and be secure in who he has called us to be. Life is going to have its twists and turns; its ups and downs, but if we press in to God and keep our eyes fixed on him, we will be able to get through the challenges that life can throw at us. I really encourage you, don't get caught up in comparison, jealousy and insecurity. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind- the road is long but in the end it's only with yourself."

Current inspirations

"I get inspiration from everywhere and anywhere! People, books, podcasts, travelling, you name it! But mostly in my quiet time when I'm spending time with my creator- He always makes me more creative!"

Being a youth pastor

"I just love seeing young people totally on fire for God- hearts  abandoned and in awe of Him! There's just nothing like it! I love seeing young people confident in who they are and walking in that. Young people who are not changed by their environment but in fact changing their environment. There's nothing better than walking the journey with young people and seeing God outwork in their lives."

Be Inspired: Anna Smith

It's just gone 10:30am, and I'm nestled on an old chair drying off from the rain and eagerly awaiting to meet Anna in a quiet Brighton cafe. Despite having never met her before, I identified her right away: a bright beaming smile, long glossy hair and deep-red lipstick, she looks like everything she does on Instagram.

Mum of 6, wife to worship leader Martin Smith and lover of Christ, Anna Smith is not your average stay-at-home mum. Her eldest daughter, and aspiring photographer Elle Smith, joined us mid-chat for a latte. Matching her mum in red lipstick and a leather jacket, 18-year-old Elle and myself began to talk fashion, college and photography (she surprised me by going to the same college as my sister, and so there was plenty to talk about).

Living for a cause

"What's your prize, what's your aim in life? My prize is Jesus- my eyes are on Him. My prize is being obedient to my Father, and knowing that I am doing His will. I need to make sure that everything I do points towards that. And I love my life, I really enjoy it. It's not hard because His yoke is easy. I don't have to carry it all, because He already carried it. I have a lot of fun, and I can choose to have a lot of fun. I'm not going to make this a tiresome thing, I'm going to have a lot of fun along the journey. That's what God wants- that's what He's chosen. And anything that becomes heavy or burdened, I don't think you're doing it well. I think you need to put it down. And of course we all have tough times- but guilt, shame, forgiveness, we need to sort that out- it's not for us to carry. It's weighing you down, and stopping you from enjoying life."

Godly dating

"I love this chat! One of the biggest tips that I would always say is just hang out in big groups- get to know people. Get to know people that you trust well, who also know that person. Get conversations going, be open, and relax and enjoy. Don't be too intense- have fun! Also, don't rush into anything. Remember to really respect your body. Respect that you are a temple of the Holy Spirit. You are precious, and don't give that away to anyone."

Advice to young women in the church

"For me, I think we need church. We need community. I cannot bring up six children, with my husband away quite a bit, without family church. We need people around us- to correct us and to help us. Young women should just talk together- let out with people that you trust and admire. Especially for you bowmen, with all the stuff that's going on around you. And sometimes that's not always your peers. I mean it's great to have friends, but I think sometimes someone who has done a bit of life, somebody who has seen some hard stuff. Someone who won't condemn you, or judge you, but might just hug you for an hour and not say anything. And just spend time with God- know what you're called to. Don't be distracted from what God's put on your heart. Really get to know why you've been put here- just be amongst people that are going to cheer you further than that. As women we really need to surrender ourselves to God, and lean into Him saying 'you have a plan, and I trust you.' I still even get distracted now, and I'm 41. I still get distracted about what my calling is, and having someone like Martin my husband just to say 'this is where we're at, this is where we're headed.' I know what I'm going to do, and I'm going to do it great. I'm not just going to be an OK mum, or an OK wife, I'm going to be great at all those things."

Loving people

"I love people. I want more and more people to be freed from whatever holds them back That is what my heart is- for my children and for other people to find freedom. I love being a mum, and being with my kids. In this day in age, that is so undervalued- people think that's not enough- but I'm a real fighter for that, and I'm a believer in cheering on women. We're all made differently and really need to celebrate that, cheer each other on, rather than be judging or pulling each other down. Just listen to God, just be obedient to Him and don't give up. I just want people to be encouraged and I think that's the biggest distraction for mums, and women today, to feel that they're not good enough, or that they're not going to make it. It's so from the enemy and not at all how God wants us to feel. He's cheering us on, He's proud of us women. Just tune into that voice."

Relying on God

"I rely on God every minute of the day. The first thing I say when I wake up is 'God I commit this day to you.' I've got my plans: meetings to have, jobs to do, but I commit each day, and whatever happens to God. So that I would be wise and know when to speak, know when to not speak. That I would be wise with my children, or if I have a meeting. I start my day just listening to Him. I actually read UCB word of the day, and I find that really helpful, and it sets out my day. Reading things like 'His mercies are new every morning,' just really helps."

Her home is always open

"I'm involved in this project called Safe Haven with the church, and that's just for the street women of Brighton. It can be quite chaotic and full on but I absolutely love it. So in my spare time I just go down there- paint their nails, give them food. It's not a service, it's something I do to help people. They are such beautiful people often with such big issues but you can only just listen; I often have no words. Sometimes I have nothing to say other than 'I love you, you are amazing.' We have lots of students around our house often, so most of my day is spent cooking. Our house is still being built so I am having lots of fun at home. We have a studio in the house so there's always lots of music in the house. Music, laughter and love."

Be Inspired: Taya Smith

26-year-old Taya Smith- with delicately silvered curly hair- stands tall in the conference room of the East Wintergarden hotel, wearing ripped skinny jeans, biker boots and a soft leather jacket. Before we've even greeted one another her smile meets us across the room, and in her soft Australian accent, she expresses her excitement to meet us.

Taya grew up on the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia, and first began faithfully serving in the children's youth ministry, leading and helping with kid's work. Then in February 2013, after her faithful committed heart, she became the cornerstone in shaping the sound of Hillsong UNITED today.

I still recall the first time I heard Oceans: lyrics that hit my soul with their ever-powering Holy Spirit led words. There's something about Taya's voice; it echoes God infinite power and love for us. When she so beautifully sings, her love for Jesus is kept no secret. The power in her voice acts as a love song which she sings out to God.

At just 26, she is sacrificing her family time, sleeping hours and time to serve not only the local church, but also the greater kingdom of Christ. She has dedicated her entire life to serving God, and lives each day expecting him to move in abundant ways. Spoken with such humility and grace- step into Taya's beautiful and ever-inspiring world as she offers us her dating tips.

Guard your heart

"Firstly I'd like to say that I'm on the journey myself so I don't have it all perfectly together. It think for me, firstly read in the bible what it says about guarding your heart. I go  to the bible for advice for everything really. You read so much about guarding your heart. It actually talks about guarding your heart so many times, and it wouldn't be written so many times if it wasn't super important and didn't hold so much value. Make sure you discover what God says about guarding your heart."

Don't marry them in your heart before you've actually married them

"Loads of people marry people in their heart before they've actually married them- and then it doesn't work out... Someone actually challenged me once and said, "so you're dating this guy Taya, what happens if it doesn't work out- will you be ok?'. And I said, "what! Why would you say that- of course I want it to work out!". She said that you should have a relationship where if it didn't work out you would be ok- because you have Jesus. It's just good to keep a check that you're actually guarding your heart and your integrity, and that the relationship is healthy- physically, and in your heart. Because if you did break up, you would be ok and still be friends because of Jesus. Generally if you're a christian and you did break up you're still going to end up going to the same church. So, don't marry them in your heart before you've actually married them!"

Be honest, and get discipled!

"Don't guard your heart so much where you're not actually ever open. It's one thing to guard it, but you actually need to open it up and listen to God. Hands open, and give your whole life to Him. You need God to speak into your life. Also it's about discipling and being honest. Be honest with yourself too. You need to have people around you that are going to shape you and inspire you. Have the right people around you that have your best interest. People who will correct you in love and be honest with you."

Be inspired: Bobbie Houston

Our culture doesn't exactly encourage women to live boldly, fearlessly or with a servant mindset. If anything, culture detracts us from who we were uniquely created to be. A true pioneer of Christ, Bobbie Houston illustrates to this lost and wandering culture what Jesus called us to be. Women who know who they are in Christ; who are bold, fearless and clothed in the grace that sets us free.

A mother figure for Hillsong goers, I've been listening to Bobbie for as long as I can remember, and have drilled her teaching into the core of my spirit. A woman changing culture for Christ, her teaching has encouraged me to lean deeper into the beautiful and  strengthening voice of Jesus- a man I am so desperately in love with. I pray that, if anything, you will read her interview and too be filled with an interminable thirst for Christ.

Young women in the church

"I came to Christ when I was 15 and I have never not believed in God. I always had a quiet faith, although I never really went to church. My parents were good people but we didn't go to church as such. So I personally found Christ when I was 15 and fell so desperately in love with him. I've never departed from that. So when I look at young women- I have daughters and granddaughters- our church is full of beautiful young women, my greatest aspiration is that they will truly fall in love with their Creator. That they will get a revelation of who they really are"

The Young & Free movement

"Young and free is bringing a song and a voice to the rising generation. The bible says that without vision people live carelessly. You have to have vision for your life. Young people waste their lives because they have no vision, no value on their lives. I think society needs to appreciate healthy church, because it creates environment where young people can get a sense of who they are and what they are doing in their life. I think there would be far less problems in society if young people had vision for their lives. It breaks my heart. People are just aimlessly wandering. Their 'big dream' is where to party next, or how to drunk to get at the weekend- it may be fun for a moment, but in reality it's so shallow. Their challenge for young christian women- young christian people- is to live a great, christian life. Live their faith well. Live their lives well."

Behind the Hillsong movie

" I almost forget that the movie is actually happening. I'm not sure whether you knew but we didn't make it about us- Hollywood producers came and approached us. One of the producers took his friend to one of the United concerts- this guy was completely unchurched- but he got so impacted by the presence of God that it's out of that that he seeded the idea of people being able to go to theatres and experience this also. So when that was pitched to us, we said 'this we can do,' but if it was anything else then we wouldn't be interested. And so, twelve months on we've seen it and it has captured the true intent of what they pitched to us. It's really lovely and I deeply hope that it blesses lots of people."

Celebrities in church

"People are fascinated with celebrities. The world is fascinated with celebrity. The short answer is that celebrities are people also. Why does it have to be such a big deal if a searching heart is coming to church and embarking on the journey that we're all on? America is fascinated with celebrity. Completely fascinated. There are so many wonderful people who are leaning into faith and leaning into the church, and we try to protect them and not make a fuss of them. But celebrities make news- not for us- but for newspapers and television shows. We want to respect them and who they are and just let them be a part of the journey. Hey, they're just people like everyone else so what's the big deal!"

Be Inspired: Shannon Maybury

The truth about modelling

"The simple reason as to why I quit being a model was I'd been doing it for about a year, and been sent on some really unglamorous photoshoots, and a lot of test shoots. I was sent to very obscure and nasty areas of London on my own that I had never been to. I had one paid job in my whole year of modelling. And as we were coming up to our next fashion week and I began to get texts through for various castings. One came through from Acne Studios, and I called my booker about it because I was so excited. She told me to ignore it because it wasn't for me. Then a couple of weeks later, I asked her why I had had only one paid job, but all the other girls were getting really big jobs. And they told me that I needed to lose three dress sizes to start making money- I was a size 8 then, and they wanted me to be a 4. That's when I walked away. I had had enough. Unless you are naturally that body shape, and have that confidence, it will be a big struggle. I would have had to have done some really crazy dieting to get to that size, and to also maintain that size. I was 17, and it was so daunting. I wore some amazing clothes when I was modelling, but I was changing into them in a public toilet in the park- it's not at all glamourous."

On not being perfect

"It's very difficult to ignore the pressure around us. I fell into pressure quite a bit when I was at school, from not having great friends and such. I got to the point where I thought, as much as I try, and as much as I wear this, or buy this, I'm not going to fit it. I'm never going to be that 'image' that everyone wants us to be. I'm just going to do my own thing, and essentially do what makes me happy."

On what makes a woman beautiful

"Aside from confidence, I think some of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, are people who don't care about the opinions of others. They just don't care. I love that in a woman. It branches off from having that confidence, where you can wear anything, just do your own thing and not care. If you're confident and walking down the street, confident and loving it, that for me is beautiful. Being secure in who you are, and not being ashamed to show it."

Vintage vs high-end fashion

"My style has definitely changed. My channel used to be called 'Shannon Louise Vintage', and that name came from when I first started YouTube. I couldn't find anyone in the UK that was covering vintage fashion, so I thought that's my niche. I started doing that, and then put it in the name. Then as I kind of developed, and changed things around a bit, I became more into high fashion. I've always been interested in high fashion, but of course it was absolutely not in my budget. But now as it's become a bit more realistic for me, I'm focusing more on that. There's still plenty of vintage in my wardrobe- lots of vintage blazers that I bought when I was about 13- and of course they take pride and place in my wardrobe. Vintage will always be a part in my wardrobe, but now I prefer high-end thrifting more."

Breaking the binaries of YouTube

"The main reason that I've been so on and off with YouTube, is that I'm quite easily uninspired by it all. When I first got into it, it was very much new, very much still growing and developing. Now that it's settled into being quite a big thing- quite a huge platform- we've seen quite a lot of the same thing. The same trends, the same groups of people doing the same things, posting about the same things, with the same hashtags. Earlier this year I was in talks with a publishing company about a book deal with Lexi (from SoTotallyVlog), and had two meetings about it. But, after much thought, we decided not to go ahead with it. Because at the time there were so many other people releasing books everywhere. It was all very similar stuff. There was nothing we could think of organically that was going to be really special. It wasn't the right time, it wasn't the right thing. If anything, it's going to be more damaging to release something like that just for money. If you're really interested in fashion then a blog is a better place to go- that's what I'm looking at now."

Future plans

"I want to keep being creative and to keep doing creative things, I just need to find the right way to do it. It can get uninspiring if it becomes your job. As much as it would be nice to make a living from it, I don't want YouTube to be my job. Something as creative as that is nicer kept as a hobby. If it becomes your job then it stops being fun. There's a lot of pressure too, especially if you've got quite intense management. YouTube is a very self-involved thing as well; you're working for yourself, and you're the only person who can put yourself down. You can often end up being very self-critical. When I started YouTube, it wasn't, 'I want to be a YouTuber.' It was that I wanted to share something about something I was passionate about. It wasn't anyone's job at that point. I know a lot of people say this, but don't get into it for the wrong reasons. Because the people who are in it for the money, for the free things, to make a job out of it, very rarely do very well. Find something that you are passionate about, so that you can make something genuine and honest about."

Be Inspired: Stephanè Alexandre

There aren't many people that inspire me quite like Stephane does. The founder and editor of influential women's site Milk & Honey, Stephane selflessly lays down her life to encourage, rise up and discover potential in all. From the first time my eyes gazed over Milk & Honey, I became utterly fascinated with its determination to not conform to the culture that already existed, but instead, create a new Jesus-centred culture. An online community where women can come and feel safe is completely focused around Christ and encouraging a woman in her Christian walk.

We first met coincidentally two years ago at a summer festival, and I have since been immersed in the site, both as a reader and as a regular contributor. As we so often get lost in the conformations of culture- being told what to do and who to be- finding a site that truly enables women to refresh their souls and discover who they were made to be is a rarity in the world we live in. Stephane's vision for Milk & Honey was birthed after she got a raw and honest look into the media industry, and felt stirred by God to create something that honoured Him.

Now living the Californian dream, and soon to be speaking at Ted x Croydon in November, Stephane empowers and inspires like no other, setting a Godly example for women all over the world. As she talks to us, let her vision and lifestyle inspire your life as much as it does mine.

The birth of Milk & Honey

"I had been working as a TV presenter for a few years when I decided to create Milk & Honey. I was at the point of exhaustion and had just felt the entertainment industry as a whole was rather fickle. Everyday comparisons, what celeb is setting the trend, whose the latest Hollywood couple to split, what's the hottest, trendiest band wagon to jump on! It was all just rather exhausting.  I've never really been into the glitz and glam of celeb culture. Having said all that I live for a good article, something relevant, fun and girly that meets me where I am at, somewhere I feel safe. So the heart behind Milk & Honey was to be a platform where women felt just that. No additional pressure, but rather good content that would empower them from the inside out. Completely entered around Christ, faith and the things women love to talk; and that was really the heart and vision behind the virtual land of Milk and Honey."

Advice on creating your own site

"Go for it! The internet is a beautiful space to share and connect with people around the world. Be diligent and patient, and at the same time surround yourself with people who will be the same; who aren't in it for the showmanship, but rather because they share the same heart and common goal for whatever it is you wish to talk about. Above all be consistent. It will be hard, it will take time but if it's your passion, don't give up on it. Sooner or later you will reap the rewards."

Current inspirations

"Goodness, so many things inspire me. A good movie, a theatre play, a relevant sermon, waking up to a warm sunny day without a cloud in the sky in California. I'm forever inspired by creation and those I'm blessed to be surrounded by. My family and friends inspire me immensely and I'm really so grateful for the love and people I'm surrounded by. So I guess to get to the point, life and its surroundings inspire me."

On the pressure of social media

"Our emphasis has and never will be for our readers to find their worth in social media streams. It's a real pressure that many women find themselves engulfed in. We try to not be in your face with beauty and fashion pieces. It's not the be all or end all if you don't have the latest lipstick collection from MAC you know. Having balance is key so I guess we try to stray away from self-indulged topics and stay more inspirational and light hearted in the content we share."

On what makes a woman beautiful

"Each and every single woman is beautiful. To me beauty is love. Sounds a bit Disney right, but it really is. The choice to forgive and still love those around you relentlessly and unapologetically is beautiful. Bitterness, unforgiveness and holding on to pain wears you down. Exercising the same grace we are given in our everyday relationships is one of the most freeing and powerful things we can do as women. It's a lesson in life I am always learning and growing in, so for me, what makes a woman beautiful? I'd have to say love."

On her favourite book in the bible

"I would have to say 1 Peter and Proverbs. I love how the Proverbs tell stories, like Aesop fables it's just so rich in wisdom. I love 1 Peter because it was in this book that I first got a true understanding and revelation of God and just how deeply He loves me. I love how the issues within the book are so relevant to me as an evolving young woman."
